We are looking for highly motivated students, from any nationality, with biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, neurosciences, medicine or related background to perform an internship in our lab at iCRB (Coimbra, Portugal). Preference will be given to students eager to apply for a PhD fellowship.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships — MSCA PF

Our team at the University of Coimbra and the Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research (iCBR) is inviting Expressions of Interest for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF 2026).

We work on inherited retinal diseases (IRDs), combining stem cell biology, retinal disease modelling, and genome engineering using hiPSC-derived systems (retinal organoids, RPE, photoreceptors, microglia) and advanced gene-editing tools (CRISPR/Cas9, base and prime editing), within a strong translational framework in close collaboration with clinicians at the Coimbra University Hospital Centre.

We welcome candidates from molecular biology, stem cell research, neuroscience, genetics, vision sciences, or related fields.

We are open to both developing new MSCA proposals together or integrating fellows into ongoing projects.
